You just surfaced from your first dive. Your mask is still wet, you can taste the salt on your lips, and the only thing on your mind is can I do that again?
The Dive After Intro is exactly that — another guided dive (or three) at the same gentle depth you trained at, with the same instructor who already knows your buoyancy, your breathing pattern, and the way you ask “where are the turtles?” with your eyebrows.
No theory, no skills check. Just two divers and the reef.
How it works
After your morning SSI Basic Diver, tell your instructor at the surface — or message us once you’ve slept on it. We slot you onto the next boat going out: same afternoon if there’s a place, or any morning over the next few days while you’re on the island.
You stay at the same comfortable depth (max 12 metres), with the same one-to-one supervision. We pick a different reef each time so the second dive doesn’t look like the first — Hans Reef, the Bounty wreck, the Meno wall, the cleaning station at Air Wall. Different fish, different light, same calm.
What’s included
- One guided dive to a maximum of 12 metres with a personal SSI Instructor
- All scuba equipment (mask, fins, BCD, regulator, wetsuit, tank, weights)
- Boat transport to one of the reefs around Gili Air, Gili Meno or Gili Trawangan
- Underwater photos and video as a paid add-on if you’d like a memory
Where this fits
Dive After Intro is for the in-between traveller — you loved the first dive, you’re not yet ready to commit to a week of training, but the reef is still there and you have a few more days on the island.
Two divers, one instructor, twelve metres of warm water and no homework. Message us when you know — we’ll line up tomorrow.
Frequently asked
Do I need to be certified?
No — that's the whole point. Dive After Intro is built for divers who've completed their SSI Basic Diver (or an equivalent half-day intro from another agency) and want more underwater time without committing to a full certification.
How soon can I dive again after my intro?
Same afternoon if there's a boat heading out and a spot for you, otherwise any of the following days you're on the island. Your instructor will sort it with you at the surface.
How many can I do?
As many as you'd like — most guests do one or two, some come back every morning for a week. You stay at the 12-metre limit until you decide to certify.
