SSI Diver Stress & Rescue

The SSI Diver Stress & Rescue is the course that turns a diver into someone you’d want next to you when something goes sideways. It’s also the course almost every SSI Pro will name as their favourite.

You’ll spend three to four days learning to prevent problems before they happen, recognise the signs early, and manage a situation calmly when it does. Less textbook, more scenarios — by Sunday afternoon you’ll have rescued a panicked diver at the surface, brought up an “unconscious” buddy from depth, and coordinated a search.

You need a current SSI React Right (First Aid & CPR) certification within the last 24 months. We can run React Right for you as an add-on if you don’t have one yet — book both together as a bundle for 9,300,000 IDR (saves 200,000 vs paying separately).

You may have searched for “PADI Rescue Diver Gili Air”. We’ve moved fully to SSI certification — but our instructors hold both PADI and SSI ratings, and the two agencies’ courses are recognised interchangeably worldwide. Identical training, same depth limits, different paperwork. Bibi, our founder, was a PADI IDC Staff for many years before becoming an SSI Instructor Trainer in 2013; almost everyone on the team is dual-rated. Same dive, different card.
